HOW CAN YOU GET COUNSELING FOR NEET EXAM 2024
Counselling will be started from August 2024. Counselling will be conducted for successfully qualified candidates only. The counselling is organized by the MCC (Medical Council Committee). NEET is the national level examination for admission to MBBS & BDS courses offered by various government and private medical colleges of India. The examination is organized by the NTA (National Testing Agency).
NEET counselling in India is divided into two parts first one is all India Kota level counselling and the second one is the state level counselling.
In all India quota level counselling 15% seats are all government medical colleges all across India, 100% seats of all deemed medical college, all AIIMS, central universities like BHU, AMU and Delhi University all ESIs and AFMC are covered by MCC itself.
While in State level Councilling. This one conducted for 85% total of all government medical college and 100% seats of all private colleges and universities as well of the respective states of India , and is conducted by those specific states.
NEET Counselling 2024 will begin with the release of the official notification by MCC. Last year, there was a delay in conducting NEET UG counselling due to the Supreme Court case on the provision of 27% reservation to OBC and 10% to EWS candidates in the AIQ seats.
Students who want to apply for all India counselling these are the given steps involved in the counselling process
Step 1 Registration For The Counselling
Neat candidates who are eligible for counselling of NEET UG firstly register themselves in MCC official website in order to get admission in the various colleges India, in government as well as private, in MBBS or BDS course.
Go to official website of MCC and register yourself as a new registration. You need to enter some detail of yours like .Enter Roll Number, Application Number, Candidate name, Mother Name, Date of Birth, Mobile Number, Email ID and Security Pin as per your admit card. After entering all the required information, a new Roll No. and Password will be generated. Use these credentials to register for NEET Counselling. And then create a password of 8 characters which must be involve lowercase uppercase letters and the numbers. Then submit it and you get the OTP on your registered mobile number for the verification of registration. Here the registration process is complete.
Step 2 Print Out The Slip.
After after registration you can see all the details which you have filled in the registration form and the registration id as well you can also take the screenshot or a print out of that page for the future reference.
Step 3 Login and Fill The Choice of Colleges for NEET UG
Now you have to login to your registered ID by using ID number and the password. Password is the one you used during registration. Here the choice available option is present where we you have to fill the colleges of your choice. Candidates are required to submit preferences. You should fill the choices keeping in mind your scores as admission is granted on the basis of merit i.e. NEET score and preferences submitted during the counselling process. There is a list of colleges in which you can choose as many options as you want. After filling the choices in the list, you can also arrange them in order of their preference by moving them up or after completion of NEET centralized online counselling, candidates have to report the allotted college in the stipulated time.
Candidates can report the concerned colleges with the downloaded allotment letter. Candidates need to carry the required documents in original with one set of photocopy.
At the time of admission candidates also have to submit the admission fee to confirm the seat. If any candidate will find ineligible in later stage, his admission will be cancelled and his seat will be transferred to the next candidate down, interchange choices and deleting choices.
Step 4 Choice Locking
In this step after filling the choices of college you have to lock it. Once after locking you cannot change your choice or cannot unlock. So before locking make sure your choices of colleges. Locking is compulsory because without locking there is no further process can be done.
Then MCC release the seat allotment results after completing all the rounds of Councilling. It is released in the form of a list followed by the issue of seat allotment letter to the selected candidates. You must report to the allotted colleges with the allotment letter and other documents to finish the admission process. For State quota and all private college seats falling under the ambit of states, candidates may apply to their domicile states and a merit list as per State rules and based on All India Rank will be prepared by concerned Counselling Authorities. The counselling for Private Medical Colleges is also conducted by the concerned State Counselling Authority.
Candidates need to register on their concerned state’s counselling websites.
Counselling will be conducted on the basis of the candidate’s rank in the state merit list.
Admission to colleges in J&K, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana will be done solely on the basis of state counselling. These documents must be prepared by you for NEET UG counselling 2024
Candidates can approach the Disability Centres designated by MCC of DGHS across India to obtain a Disability Certificate after getting their disability assessed at the centre in order to avail the benefit of 5% PwD reservation in medical courses. Candidates are requested to arrange for issuing of Disability Certificates for 21 Benchmark Disabilities so that inconvenience is not caused to the candidates.
